Since Apple iTunes 9 there is a watch folder build in! More documentation here : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3832

Project Description
iWatchSyncer is a small WPF c# program that will monitor a given location for file/folder addition.
When a mp3 file, or folder containing mp3 files, is added iWatchSyncer will automatically add these to the iTunes music library.
Instead of doing this yourself manually in iTunes!

Remark
Currently iWatchSyncer will only import native mp3 files!

Created Issue: Exclude M3U files.

If a folder with mp3's contains a M3U playlist file, it adds all the mp3's twice in iTunes. Really irritating.
I set iWatchSyncer to watch my bittorrent download folder, which means music gets added to iTunes completely automated after just downloading the bittorrent file. But a lot of bittorrents include a M3U file. Please make a feature to exclude certain filetypes, I will be more then happy to donate for this feature.

Start iWatchSyncer

laurin, I've found the solution!

It's a known bug of the click once installation procedure... the details are here: http://blogs.msdn.com/gauravb/archive/2008/12/02/clickonce-application-does-not-install-when-the-deployment-path-includes-ampersands.aspx

In short, don't use an & in your installation path.

Not working on Vista x64? That is something I can't test for the moment... I'm only working in Vista x32 and Win XP...

But I'll check the internet for any know issues with x64 and .Net applications.

Well I'll have a look at the support for other file formats! It shouldn't be that hard I suppose, so stay tuned for future iWatchSyncer updates ;)

Be able to select a playlist from within iTunes, so that all tracks will be added to that playlist.
